What We Offer

We offer shared gardens, orchards, greenhouses, woodlot, book and media libraries, internet, an Earth-centered getaway and incomparable opportunity to hone your homesteading skills. One acre planting space available (or for pasture, if you have or want a farm animal).

We offer a combined four decades' experience with the land and its Pacific Northwest coastal micro-climate, our work in the surrounding communities, and our decades' teaching in an applicable variety of skill fields including our internship program here on the homestead. We strive to live a Nature-based lifestyle built around sustainability and self-reliance, and to continually expand a broad knowledge of global climate, resource, economic and geopolitical challenges facing all of us.

Who We're Looking For

We seek people who want to "return to the land" in order to experience/learn homesteading first-hand during a six-months-to-year lease on a comfortably furnished loft. We could also accommodate you in your RV.  Ideally, you would stay through all four seasons.

We have room for a couple, or possibly a couple with a small child, or a single or some simultaneous or overlapping combination. Rent is balanced against chores, work hours and skills.

Serious applicants only, please. Healthy, non-smokers, no recreational drugs, and addiction-free (including "smart" phones and commercial TV).
