“The whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint. From the sole of the foot even to the head, there is no soundness in it, but bruises and sores and raw wounds; they are not pressed out or bound up or softened with oil.” (Isaiah 1:5-6)
The rottenness, bankruptcy and general degradation of Western societies used to be something that only crazed conspiracy theorists like me could apparently see. Yet as the speed of the clown car has picked up pace year by year, week by week, day by day, no doubt even some of the “respectable” folks out there are finding it harder to ignore the obvious signs that we’re now in Wile E. Coyote mode, flapping our arms in the air in a desperate attempt to defy gravity, before gravity inevitably defies us and sends us hurtling to the ground at the bottom of the cliff we just leapt off.
What signs? Well, the fact that the so-called leader of the so-called free world is a man who has trouble knowing what day of the week it is, and who holds his monumentally corrupt, drug-addled, perverted son to be “the smartest man I know”.
Or the fact that the country formerly known as “Great” Britain, having been led for the last several years by a blonde Etonian thespian, was then led for a few days by a person impersonating a particularly dim-witted sixth form student taking part in her first school debate, and will shortly be led by a more competent WEF globalist (possibly the blonde thespian again), whose job it will be to continue managing the controlled demolition of the economy and its transition to a Central Bank Digital Currency dystopia.
If that doesn’t do it, there is the fact that the leaders of multiple countries continue to give vast sums of money their countries don’t have to a cocaine-sozzled fake actor in a green T-shirt, so that he can fight Russia down to his last countryman on behalf of his Western handlers, and we can see demand for firewood, candles and pitchforks mushroom, not to mention the prospect of another type of mushroomy thing becoming ever more likely.
There is the apparent inability of leaders, media and certain sections of society to grasp what marriage is, or to tell the difference between boys and girls.
There are the energy policies of entire countries, which appear to have been designed by a Swedish teenage truant, with the soon-to-be consequences of energy rationing, blackouts, business shutdowns, and deaths of those who cannot afford to heat their homes all contributing to show us just how sustainable sustainability really is.
There was the hysterically loopy idea that healthy people must avoid other healthy people, lest they transmit the virus neither of them had to one another, and just in case they happened to wander too close to another human being, they needed to wear a bizarre face rag with holes immeasurably bigger than virus particles, in order to stop the spread of the virus they didn’t have.
And lest we forget the greatest madness and evil of all, there is the continued promotion by authorities and media alike of a product so “safe and effective” that it has killed or maimed millions around the world, and which will continue to do so in the years to come.
I could go on, but the point is made. Turn whichever way you will, and you will find an unholy trinity of lies, madness and recklessness stalking just about every institution across formerly law-governed, free countries, with anyone who dares to inject even the smallest dose of reality, common sense and wisdom treated as a pariah, an extremist, or a domestic terrorist. As the little boy rightly points to the naked Emperor, a loose cabal of Globalists, Neo-Cons and Wokeists rise up in fury to denounce and cancel him as a Conspiracy Theorist, Putinist, and Hatemonger.
If this isn’t what societal — even civilizational — collapse looks like, do let me know in the comments section below what you think it would really look like. When a civilisation that once produced God-glorifying cathedrals, sublime symphonies, breath-taking art, magnificent literature, and true scientific endeavour, now has drag queens in public libraries twerking in front of little children, scientists banned from “free speech platforms” for quoting peer-reviewed papers, and medical regulators voting unanimously to inject millions of children with a product known to cause vast numbers of adverse events and deaths, know that the game is up.
Just as dispiriting than what has been described above is the fact that millions will see some of the mess, yet still be thinking about who to vote for to get us out of it. Forget it. The whole system is rotten. And because it is rotten, it will be led by rotten leaders from rotten parties who will pursue rotten policies. You might as well look for cleanliness in a pigsty, chastity in a brothel, or honesty in a den of thieves than look for anything good from this system.
It’s all very similar to the days of Isaiah, who told the Israelites in the quote at the top of this piece that their society was sick, rotten, and utterly corrupt. But it was not beyond redemption. A few verses later, he tells them:
“Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil; Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow. Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.” (Isaiah 1:16-20)
You are not watching just another kerfuffle that can be solved by another politician, another party or another policy. No, you are watching the collapse of Western civilisation in real time: a monumental spiritual breakdown followed by an equally monumental material, political, social and civilizational breakdown. The choice is as simple as it is stark: we can continue to pin our hopes on someone to arise from the rottenness to save us and watch it get ever worse; or we can repent. That’s it.
