The City of Warrenton will be hosting their annual 4th of July Parade. The Police Chief is in need of 4-5 volunteers who can assist the parade route by manning variuos intersections. The duties include standing at intersections, putitng up & taking down a barricade, being the eyes & ears during the event, and reporting any issues to Incident Command.

If intrested, please sign up with this Eventbrite notice. This way emergency managment can track and record your time volunteering. This will also give Mike Neelon a volunteer count. Volunteers will meet at the Police Station (225 S. Main Street, Warrenton) by 2:30 pm. Expect to be on site until 4:30 pm, unless you are released earlier.

Please bring a CERT or Auxcomm reflective vest if you have one. Also, bring a radio with the CERT frequenices programmed in, if you have one. If you don't have a vest or radio, the police department can supply them.

Parade Kickoff – The parade begins at 3:00 PM on July 4, traveling along Main Avenue from First Street to Ninth, turning west on Ninth to SW Cedar, and finishing at Warrenton Grade School. Eagle Country 103.9 FM will be announcing the parade and playing music for those attending in-person (not broadcast).
